Introducing David Tagler

My name is David Tagler and I am a Ph.D. graduate student in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern University. I am a member of Dr. Lonnie D. Shea’s research laboratory, which makes up the Biomaterials Core of the Oncofertility Consortium. I received my B.S. in chemical and biomolecular engineering from the University of Notre Dame. My research interests include cell/tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, stem cells, and cancer. In my graduate research, I will be working to develop a 3D hydrogel coculture system to study the interactions between ovarian follicles and stromal cells. I hope to elucidate the function of the ovarian stroma and improve the in vitro maturation of  primordial/primary/secondary follicles. I will share the results of my research and publications.
